Hello Team,

Hello, I have restarted it but from what I see it was not “slow”, maybe the reason is the network “distance” as this instance is located in a datacenter in France?
Again I proposed that we deploy an new instance manager server (SIM) “closer” to you. For instance our usual public cloud provider has a datacenter located In Mumbai. Another option is that you deploy instances on you own infrastructures using our Docker images.
@bmo what are your thought on this ?
If possible please deploy instance into Mumbai location.
How many instances do you plan to use on this server ?
I ask for the initial sizing, but it may be upgraded later anyway
For now, as it is for testing one instance should be fine. Also share the docker image, and any related documentation to setup in our GCP environment.
Thanks
Vamsi
Ok I will let you know when your new SIM server is available.
Regarding Docker images, I have to check if everything is OK from contractual/licensing point of view prior to create your account on our Docker registry.
We don’t have dedicated documentation for GCP (nor for AWS EKS or other specifc Docker-aware cloud platforms) but the typical usage of our images is rather basic.
Examples of usual Simplicité deployments using our Docker images (given using docker-compose syntax) are here: docker/examples/docker-compose at master · simplicitesoftware/docker · GitHub, the most basic and frequent deployment case for dev instances being this one: docker/examples/docker-compose/docker-compose-hsqldb.yml at master · simplicitesoftware/docker · GitHub (= a single container with embedded HSQLDB database)
For GCP, I think you should ask Bruno (@bmo) for advice on this because I think there are some additional/specific steps/tuning in the context of Renault’s environments
Hello all,
I agree with David.
@vamsiT, as discussed last monday, you shall use instances nearer of your work location. We should consider a gcp sandbox instance dedicated to your team. Ram should administer it with my help at start. At this time, I don’t have any capacity to handle this. We should speak about that with Ram & Mourad to find a way in this direction.
The new SIM server hosted in Mumbai is now available.
