It would be nice to be able to go to a specific page to explore large datasets. The UI doesn’t allow to turn more than 3 pages at a time. Maybe put a “number” input in the middle of the pager?
Why not.
But what is the probability to know the right page with a random number between 1 and 5711 = 1/5711
You will rather have to set a filter to reduce the pages first to 10…
I blame the terrible, terrible developer who forgot to put the right filtering capabilities in place and the slow “configUpdate-to-prod” client context that leaves the app stuck in this pickle.
So in the meantime, with this feature, I would at least be able to use the ancient dictionnary technique manually: narrow down the right page by trial and error in an ordered list. Seems to me like it’s a good fallback to include by default
